Over ten years of experience in managing customer relationships – from initial call to onboarding to renewal.
Ten years of experience teaching…which helped understand how to handle onboarding.
Born in Finland into a British diplomatic family, I have been an international person my whole life, living in several countries before settling in Sweden in 2002. With my heart divided between education and music and my head in finance, I am fully able to comprehend the moral and business importance of ensuring clients are onboarded and cared for properly to ensure retention. Clients describe me as helpful, knowledgeable and approachable.
In my spare time, I write and play music, repair musical instruments and participate in endurance sports.
I’m really sorry to see you go. You have been a pleasure to work with.
– Daniel C, when informed of my departure from UNIwise.
Tack för ditt mejl James. Vad tråkigt att ert avtal slutat. Det har varit roligt att få prata med dig och det märks att du har varit pedagog. Önskar dig allt gott framöver.
– Jennifer K, upon being informed that RepresentEdTech’s agreement with Turnitin had ended.
A more detailed summary of previous positions
Senior Business Development Manager, UNIwise
A complex role with multiple different tasks. Initially, I helped forge the structure of the Sales Department, from determining the pipeline stages to writing large parts of the Sales Handbook. I successfully trained several colleagues, networked at conferences, nurtured leads, demonstrated the system to scores of prospects and closed a major UK university when the company was losing clients in the market.
Location: remote with the main office in Aarhus.
Duration: November 2023 – March 2025
Regional Manager (Nordics), Smowltech
After negotiating a position for my partner in RepEd and myself in Smowl, I took on the task of managing their business development in the Nordics, a region hostile to proctoring. After initiating a reselling programme, I signed a deal in Finland for all the universities of applied sciences to use the system and then joined UNIwise.

Duration: January – October 2023.
Co-founder and CEO, RepresentEdTech – Scandinavia
Along with my partner, we created a company from the ground up to represent a portfolio of best-in-breed educational software products to schools and universities in the Scandinavian market. I manage sales and client contact as well as financial planning, reporting to the tax authorities etc. Our turnover was 1.5msek in year 1, 3.6msek in year 2 and 3.5msek at Q3 of year 3, when we decided to close.
Location: fully remote with the company registered in Stockholm.
Duration: August 2019 – September 2022
Head of Sales, Urkund
Starting as a Key Account Manager, I helped take Urkund from a relatively small Scandinavian company to a true competitor of the major system used to control plagiarism. In my time there, I expanded the company into the UK, Ireland and several other countries as well as into almost all universities in India and Sri Lanka. This resulted in the company doubling its turnover which, in turn, led to a takeover by a private equity company in 2018 and, ultimately, its takeover by the major player in the market in 2021. The role included large amounts of travelling to speak at conferences, meet clients and prospects and to exhibit at trade fairs
Location: Stockholm.

Head of English, Internationella Engelska Skolan Örebro
I was responsible for the teaching of English in the school. This equated to ensuring the curriculum was followed, all classes were planned and prepared and that all staff were aware of their tasks and on top of their work. I also worked to implement the Cambridge IGCSE exams; the first students sat them after my departure.
Location: Örebro.
Duration: August 2009 – July 2013.
